Poster recycling
Recycling makes more out of your election and voting posters
Every year, posters are used to advertise votes and elections. But what happens to the posters - which are usually made of plastic - after the election or vote? Most posters are sent to waste incineration plants and incinerated after a single use. However, as most election and voting posters are made of unmixed polypropylene (PP), they are ideal for recycling. We want to seize this opportunity!
The Thurgau-based InnoWay Group with its companies InnoRecycling AG and InnoPlastics AG would like to offer you the opportunity to give election and voting posters a second life. With this campaign, you are setting an example for a sustainable election and referendum campaign and for a sustainable circular economy in Switzerland.

    Poster recycling is that easy:
You collect the posters, remove the cable ties and, if possible, stack them on a pallet.
You take the election posters to a collection partner near you (the addresses can be found at the top of the map) and hand them in there free of charge - the work is done for you.
Our collection partners then bring the election posters to us in Eschlikon TG. Here the posters are recycled by our sister company InnoPlastics AG and processed into regranulate. This regranulate is then used to make new products.
Partnership
We are delighted that Flyerline Schweiz AG is not only our printing partner, but also actively contributes to closing the material cycle. Flyerline's all-weather lightweight posters are made of unmixed polypropylene and can be ideally recycled after use via the InnoWay collection point network.
The returned posters are fed into our recycling process, shredded and processed as raw material. Flyerline then uses some of this recycled material in the production of new lightweight all-weather posters - a real example of the circular economy in action.

                                Supporting the Swiss circular economy
By giving plastic a second life, you are supporting the Swiss circular economy, contributing to a sustainable future and helping to close material cycles.
                                Saving resources
By recycling posters, you help to save valuable resources and emissions: For every kg of plastic recycled, up to 3 liters of crude oil are saved and, as the plastic is not incinerated, you avoid 2.83 kg of CO2 per kg of plastic.
                                Supporting regional trade
With your collection, you support regional businesses in Switzerland, create additional added value and secure/generate jobs.
