Around 75 guests from politics and business accepted the invitation to the special event organised by the Thurgau Technology Forum and were guided by Philippe Model through the path of plastic from waste to recycled product.
In the first part, the participants were able to experience the entire recycling process at first hand: From the collection of household plastic with the Bring Plastic Back system, to the acceptance, testing and further processing of the material by InnoRecycling AG, through to regranulation at InnoPlastics AG - plastic recycling was demonstrated in a tangible and vivid way.
In the second part of the event, Philippe Model, InnoPlastics Sales Manager Fabian Kraft and Melanie Haupt from realcycle GmbH talked about a pioneering project that allows several types of plastic to be recycled in series on a single extrusion line in an all-in-one solution. The project, which is supported by Innosuisse's Innovation Booster and HSG St. Gallen, among others, aims to close local loops for various types of plastic.
